Since 23th to 28th of September, Sochi airport handled 1,565 flights for arrival and departure, including 1,465 domestic flights and 100 international flights from Amsterdam, Belgrade, Verona, London, Munich, Rome, Zurich and other cities of the world. During the Formula 1 period, Sochi International Airport, along with the total number of accepted aircraft, served 56 charter flights and 167 business aviation flights with participants and guests of the competition.
In total, during the preparation and holding of the seventh Russian stage of the Formula 1 races since 14th to 28th of September, Sochi International Airport served about 548,239 passengers on arrival and departure.
Since 16th of September, Sochi air harbor began to receive cargo flights with cars and equipment for racing competitions. In total, more than 1000 tons of cargo were handled.
For the first time, Sochi International Airport received equipment and race cars for the debut of the Russian stage of the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix in 2014. This year the competition was held since 24 th to 27th of September at Sochi Autodrom.
